Hm, I don't read a whole lot of blogs, but I've noticed that a lot of the blogs I do read often use this "Yes, Virginia, there is…" construction. It always struck me as annoying, but I didn't know what it stood for until I googled it. Seems a letter to the editor about Santa Claus is the culprit. It's still an annoying phrase, but at least now I don't feel left out and ignorant.

Oh, on a related note, I finally learned what a Golem was. Go figure.
