Interesting sidenote on the Ten Commandments monument. According to the latest Pew Poll
, support for the Ten Commandments is, as you'd expect, overwhelming among Americans—which is certainly why many liberals would rather just let this go, avoid being branded as militant religion-haters, and fight more important battles elsewhere. What's interesting, though, is that even among "seculars"—i.e. atheists, agnostics, non-believers—only 48 percent think the display is "improper". No real point here, that's just smaller than I would've thought.
