The China That Can Say No

I don't know about you folks, but I'm simply stunned to hear that various multinational corporations oppose China's attempts to bolster unions and curb labor abuse. Okay, not really. But this sounds like a huge, huge story in the making. The CCP, it seems, has a new plan to "tackl[e] the severe side effects of the country’s remarkable growth." I wonder if it's sincere. I wonder how long they'll stand up to corporate pressure. Maybe Zimbabwe can provide the next generation of Nike sweatshops.
